HeartKids Urgently Request ICU Beds

In Victoria state, HeartKids named Chrysoula Petras, Kevin Innes, Makyla Tyrrell, Brodie Guy, Lincoln, Catlin and Julian Michielin had 19 operations been cancelled since June.

They Royal Children’s Hospital has the world’s best heart surgeons and treatments, but cancelled estimate 60 heart operations in last month.

The state Government was demanded to fund 10 more intensive-care beds, recruit and train nurses immediately by the HeartKids families.

Eight-month-old Lincoln was transferred in rush to the hospital on Sunday night and booked for a major operation this morning.

One HeartKid’s mother, Penny Bruton said: “We have the best surgeons you can get and they just can’t do what they are supposed to be doing.”

Ms. Bruton wasn’t surprised when hospital called her the operation was off again.

Last month, a 10-day-old boy was in the same situation and sent interstate because the pediatric intensive care beds were full in all the states.

The Royal Hospital met emergency cases which have forced to cancel scheduled operations in regards to the problem was finding intensive care nurses to staff beds.

The hospital’s chief of surgery, Dr Leo Donnan said: “Emergency cases are having take precedence, we are trying to ensure there is no one is left behind or child at risk.”

Health Minister Daniel Andrews’ spokesman, Jason Frenkel said: “We are building a brand new $1 billion children hospital with a capacity treating 35,000 patients every year.

“There will be an extra 21 ICU beds at the new Royal Children’s Hospital,” he said.

Virgin Blue Airline is going to launch the world’s first commercial “Spaceliner” and its base at the Gold Coast Airport.

According to Sir Richard Branson, Spokesperson of Virgin Blue, a speaceliner will be able to travel six passengers and two pilots with a speed of 2000 kilometres per hour.

As these spaceliners increase in size, more people will be able to experience space flight, and perhaps one day humans will be able to roam the universe,” Mr Branson said.

The Gold Coast City Council approved spaceliners program on 10 December 2010, “I am so proud to have this happen in Australia, and right on the Gold Coast.

“A second space base is building in Mexico and a third in Holland, to open the doors to world travel,” Mr Branson said.

Rock Band Stimulates GC Film Production

Village Roadshow Studios, Gold Coast is very excited, honoured and pleased to announce an upcoming film production which will be making with U2 Band.

Oscar Wilde, the Spokesperson of Village Roadshow Studio announced the film budget is a total of $200 million dollars which is the largest ever undertaken.

“I am really excited about this production. It is a great boost for the film industry on the coast.

“I am so thrilled to have U2 giving us such a vote of confidence in our production facilities,” Mr Wilde said.

The file is being produced by Mel Gibson and directed by James Cameron in January 2012, and will finish in December 2012.

Mr Wilde mentioned that Griffith University Students on the Gold Coast are invited to be filming as audience in one scene of U2’s sell-out 360 concerts last year.

During this filming, 200 or more people will be employed, and the segment will be on sealed off section of Surfers Paradise beach during mid-year academic break.

U2 agreed the filming after Mr Wilde met with band management in Los Angeles in October last year, and the meeting was arranged by the representative of Queensland Government, Peter Beattie.

Operation Capture: Drunk-driving Warning

Queensland Police Service has announced an operation called Operation Capture which will increase an additional 50 police officers participating Random Breath Test activities in Southport and Surfers Paradise this coming weekend.

According to Sergeant Joe Black, the Spokesperson of Southport Police Station, 17 drivers had been arrested for drinking driving in the past 24 hours.

Most drivers caught were picked up at a RBT site on the Gold Coast Highway, at Surfers Paradise, were five P plated drivers and two learner drivers.

“The message is quite clear. If drivers drink and drive they can expect to be caught.

“Penalties are served and it could mean losing your license, paying a hefty fine or possibly spending time in jail if it is not your first offence,” Mr Black said.

Mr Black would like praise the efforts of his staff in their dedication to duty and thank those publications who do send this message out.
